Dot's Farewell Party

Dot had her farwell dinner just now @ La Grotta. The restaurant is located on the other side of Victoria, near Sydney Road. So we all had to car pool to go there. I didnt want to drive at first because my car has not been serviced and i was scared that it might breakdown like the other time. Besides, i was just too tired. After much negotating who goes on whose car, I decided that i should just drive to make things easier for everyone.

It took us about an hour to reach the restaurant as we had to go through Princess Hwy. The city was already packed with Friday night people, who are probably already half-drunk. We got to the restaurant the same time as Dot, so it was alright. We're not late!!! The restaurant is like La Porchetta, serving Italian pastas and pizzas. The only difference is that it is Halal. That means EVERYONE can eat it!! Isnt that cool?! Hehe. We spent about 4 hours in the rest. cause Fahmi & Sani arrived late so we had to wait for them to eat and enjoy themselves. I think the night was very good. Everyone seemed to be catching up and chilling out.

I didnt want to think what the dinner party was for. I've put it right at the back of my mind. It's one of those things that you wish was not happening anytime soon. Dot one of the dearest friend i've ever known. If you think I kecoh, wait till you meet Dot. She openly welcomes everyone and has been always the life of a party.

I'm gonna miss you, Nordina Abdul Rahim.

I had my last dinner (hopefully not the very last) with my Makin Menjadi friends... Girls that ive known since Sec 2. Ever since im back in Singapore, we've had our dinner every week. Just to catch up on latest gossip, etc. Hehe.. Gonna miss them in Melbourne!!~

Mama's Chalet

Attended Mama's chalet just now.. It was to celebrate her big bro's 26th Birthday.. And she asked her bro if can invite kita 4 (Makin Menjadi Girls) tak.. Hehe.. I think the ones who turned up was Mama's fren instead of Helmi's.

Anyway, I had to go the chalet later in the evening cause had to bake cookies for my cousin's chalet which is the very next day. In a few hours time actually. Finally get to meet Ita. That was like the second time I saw her since i came back. I dont think the short meet @ Eatzi counts!! Hehe. Adik Mama keep feeding us Satay and we gobbled it up within seconds cause we were VERY hungry. Someone thought up of playing a game called "Snatch", using Scrabble's letters. Its not that complicated but it takes awhile to get the hang of it.

End of da Night..

Jakarta Trip 2007

My absence of blogging is due to my recent trip to Jakarta, Indonesia. I went to visit my distant cousin and her family and of course, did alot of shopping. We went for 4 days and 3 nights, arriving back on Thursday night. It was great going on a REAL holiday, other than Singapore. We did too much shopping till our legs hurt the rest of the night.

The "we" would be my parents, my cousin, CT and my aunt. The 5 of us on an adventure to just shop till you drop. We had a little R&R as well, where we got a massauer (is that how to spell it?!) to massage us. It was really nice and also very, very painful. Hehe.. I managed to convince my Indonesian cousin to bring me to Plaza Indonesia so that I can watch a movie in my favourite cinema of all time!! Hehe.. More about the movie on a later date. Hehe.

Having to pack the last night, me & CT went crazy. We displayed ALL of the items that we had bought and totally filled up an entire queen bed. There is barely space to see the bed frame, let alone the mattress. Haha. I think we should have brought more money ah. Hehe. It's so cheap in Jakarta.. Too cheap.. Hahaha..

Well in case some of you havent already know.. I have a little nephew of my own.. Ok its not EXACTLY mine.. But since i dont have any brothers or sisters, I might as well just take my cousins' kids as my own!! I finally managed to touch, carry, kiss, hug, smoochies, soothe, feed and talk to him!! Hehehe..

He is the first grandchild.. First boy.. First nephew.. So of course my family & I are gonna spoil him to bits!! I have already bought him a tonne of clothes and apparently he is growing faster than I can buy them!! *LOL* He is already 4 months old and is wearing 1 year-old clothes.. *tsk tsk* Nonetheless, he is still as cute as EVER!!

Meeting Xin..

Met up with one of my old time Poly friends, Xin.. Xin was one of my first few friends that I made with back in the Singapore Polytechnic days.. Ahhh.. The memories of being in SP.. Taught alot about myself and my friends..

I really miss being in Singapore Polytechnic. It's one of the schools that I guess really "take care" of their students. That's what i think anyway.. Abit optimistic huh?! Hehe.. But hey! We got new rock climbing walls and gears.. And prob the only poly that has a bowling alley and cheap pool games.. Hehe.. Love those times!!

Singapore Zoo

A trip to the zoo should always be a memorable one. No matter what kind of company you have, no doubt the animals will always be there to give you a surprise and abit of knowledge.

I managed to convince my dearest friends that we MUST, MUST, MUST go to Singapore Zoo. Hehe.. Though they didnt need much convincing cause they were as eager to go as I am.. I knew it was gonna be a fun, long, hot day!! But with my mates.. time passes by with a blink of an eye!!

Mel's Graduation..

Mel had her graduation ceremony yesterday. She was suppose to be there by 5pm but of course, being Mel, it took her forever to get ready! She didnt allow me to go but after alot of pestering, irritating her and begging, she eventually said i could go. But no, i didnt go for the ceremony itself. I just wanted to take pic with her in her graduation gown.

Clayton Campus was packed with graduating students. I was overwhelmed by the fact that I could be one of them in 2008, insyaallah. I only have 6 more units to go, 2 semesters, 1 year, 2007. I can only pray to God that I survive 2007 and excel in everything that I do. Anyway, I realise that graduation time are quite expensive. You have to pay for the photo shoot, the certificate frame, of course you need to get the graduation bear. And flowers. I bought Mel flowers but as always, Mel being Mel she refusese to bring them. If only Mummy was here to force everything upon her. Please Mummy, do not kill me. I did my best!! Though I have to admit, Mel looked good in makeup that day. Hehe.

So CONGRATULATIONS Melissa Chow Tze Mei!! You've graduated!! And also, congratulations to everyone else who is graduating!! You guys deserve the special day!! After all, Monash did cost a BOMB!!~ =p

Tennis.. Anyone?!

Played tennis for the first time today. Me, Mel & Nana & Sani... We all borrowed Sani's rackets just because he has a tonne of them!! Tennis is kinda hard but i guess its a new sport to me. Looking forward to playing tennis again in the near future!!~

Rock Climbing in Melbourne... & Happy 21st Birthday Mel!!

5th December 2006. Marked that date down. It was a special day for me. Finally, I went rock climbing in Australia. In Victoria. In Melbourne. Isn't it cool?! I have been excited since the day Melissa agreed to try rock climbing. That means I have a rock climbing buddy. Asked Sani if he wanted to come. He did. So we went. 5th December 2006. I can only hope that these 2 peeps would enjoy rock climbing as much as I did and would want to do it over and over and over again.

The closest rock climbing centre was at the corner of Springvale Road & Maroondah Hwy. It was indoors. It's alright. Climbing is still climbing. Hehe. We got there about 5.30pm due to the traffic jam. I forgot that it was peak period time. We should have left earlier. Anyway, I rented a harness, chalk bag and of course there was an entrance fee. It was totally awesome. I cant help but grin the rest of the day. It took me awhile to get the hang of it but within seconds I remembered the times I spent climbing in SP with ma friends. Oh how i miss them so much now.

It took me awhile to remember how to wear the harness. Then my rock climbing shoes. They were pretty tight.. Hmm.. New ones? Maybe? Wanna get a harness first though. Then, have to tie figure of 8 and do the double knot. And the 5-step belay technique. It's easy. I remember them all. Eventually. Hehe. I love rock climbing. And so did Sani & Mel. Im going to train my arm muscles again. The next time, Im going to be able to reach the highest peak. Insyaallah.

Next time. February 2007. Anyone wanna join us?!

Melissa's 21st Birthday Party!!..

My flatmate, Melissa celebrated her 21st Birthday on Sunday, 2 days prior to her actual birth date. I had helped her researched through the long list of restaurants in Melbourne and finally found something suitable and something new... The restaurant was located in the city and was walking distance from Flinders Station.

It was a really good birthday party, especially since Rick managed to force a drink down Mel.. Hehe.. I guess highlights of the night was getting to see the Super Supremes perform @ Manchester Lane. They are so hilarious!! And also, we managed to see the Crown's Christmas decorations.. It wasnt that exciting, but still was pretty alright for Melbourne. And Mel did get her wish.. We got to leave on the last train for the night.. Hehehe..

My Neighbours...

This past few days have really sad for me.. It's kinda stupid though.. I think some of you might even laugh at me.. But yeah, I feel sad that my neighbours, the 5 guys who have been a part of my life for almost a year now are leaving and moving out..

It's funny how I never think that i'll be friends with them.. Who would have thought kan?! Hehe.. Unbelievable.. Hahaha.. I guess SEF will never be the same again.. We wont be living in in the 2nd Floor.. and Neither would the guys.. Next year, me & Mel wont be able to go over to the guys place when we are bored and frustrated at our flat.. I guess we have to move on with our lives eventually.. Im gonna miss my 5 neighbours and im pretty sure Mel will too!!...

They've all moving out by tomorrow, well except Sani (He going on Friday).. It's gonna be one rollercoaster weekend!!~

Julie Birthday Party!~

I spent my Sunday late afternoon and evening at Julie's place. She had her birthday party, with roasting lamb. Seriously, it was a FULL, lamb being roasted at her backyard!! Even though i cant eat it, it seemed pretty nice.. Hahaha.. Luke brought over his BRAND NEW SingStar and his damn bloody heavy DDR!! haha.. It's so cool!! My first time play DDR ah!!~ HEhehe..

Julie is one of the first few friends i made in Monash Berwick. We happened to team up in a group together with Aaron & Ricky. She has been an awesome friend ever since then!! Hope you had a happy birthday party Julie!! Thanks for inviting me!!~

BISA 2006 Outing..

BISA 2006 had their first and final outing as a committee this afternoon.. We went to watch a movie @ Fountain Gate & lunch @ Billy Baxter!! It was pretty good seeing all the familiar faces.. I truly appreciate all the efforts (or lack of.. for some..) in helping out BISA.

We got the appreciation letters and stuff, free movie, free lunch.. It was really awesome!!
