The Palms

My colleagues and I went to have dinner the other day after work.. It was really nice.. Spending quality time with them.. Talking about work.. About other colleagues.. Well more like gossipping.. hehehe..

They were so nice to bring me to a restaurant that served Halal food. It was somewhere at Glen Waverley.. So the drive there was pretty short.. I think about 5 of us ended up going with like 4 cars.. hahaha..

The restaurant, called The Palms, was pretty good. It had a Singaporean theme to it, decorated with old-style Singapore shophouses. They even had teh tarik but i wasnt in the mood for it.
I had Butter Chicken with Garlic Naan. Seriously, it was good. Abit more sweeter than what I usually have at other restaurants, but still.. Good choice!!

I would definitely recommend to go there.. Well especially if you're craving for some Singapore style food. I think one of the best things about the restaurant is getting to see all these people who eats there, ordering food like there is no tomorrow. Feels right at home.. Prob like an air-conditioned version of Simpang Bedok but w/o western food.

Visit me in Melbourne and I'll be sure to bring you there!! Hehehe.. =D

First to Nandos.. Then to Bowling

After being in Melbourne for a couple of years, I am ashamed to say that I have never been bowling here. To be honest, bowling here is quite expensive compared to Singapore. For instance, it cost about $10 for the first game and another $5 for the second game. Three games can easily cost you about $20. So... in other words.. going bowling here isnt really a good idea unless you have deep pockets or extra cash lying around.

We headed to Nandos @ Rusden House first before heading to Chaddie. Rauds, Ruzi and I wanted to check out the new Nandos place and see if the place is worth a repeat visit. And safe to say.. YES IT IS!!~ In case you didn't know, Nandos in Victoria is Halal. But they will not claim it proudly like the restaurants in WA. You gotta ask them for their Halal certs if you wanna see it!!~

Anyway, luckily for us, it was MONDAY MADNESS @ AMF Chaddie. It costs only $10 for 3 games. Though, we still had to wait around for another hour and half for MONDAY MADNESS to begin. No worries.. Cause we still had some grocery shopping to do anyway..

I was hoping that they would switch the lights off so that we can play in the dark.. You know the whole Glow in the dark kind of thing.. And they did!! How cool is that?! Ok.. maybe cause this is my first time bowling in the dark.. im quite excited.. maybe after the next few times.. I might tone done..

So yah.. anywhooo... Looks like Mondays will be Bowling Night for us!!~

Lazzat @ Lygon

I cant help but think about the Lazzat Restaurant on Lygon Street.

A couple of my friends and I have been craving to eat at Halal Restaurants so we are now on a hunt.. We have been to most of the restaurants around our area @ Clayton but we want to branch out more... Hehehe...

We stumbled on a restuarant on Lygon Street called Lazzat Restaurant. We've heard about it but never really bothered to go there till we started having our craving. Now that Im definitely having to stay in Melbourne, its about time i start venturing more... right?!

Anyway, the first time Raudz, Ruzi and I went there, we didnt really take any photos. I remember having Mee Soto but it was weird cause the Mee Soto had vegetables in them.. Like proper vegetables, carrots, broccoli, etc. The second time I went there, i brought my family with me. This time I ordered the Nasi Ayam. OMG!!~ SOOOooo delicious i tell you!! I thought i was back in Singapore. We ordered sweet and sour fish but i didnt like it cause it tasted more of chilli than the sweet sour taste.

Overall, i would recommend you to eat there! Though the teh tarek tasted more like milk. So maybe not order the teh tarek. So yeah, Lazzat on Lygon.. Go and try it!!~ It's pretty good!~
