Philip Island here we come.. My flatmates, Ita and I have headed out to Philip Island this Friday Easter break. It was an anticiapted day of fun, laughter and unfortunately, rain. Me & Mun woke up extra early to get the rented car that I have booked a few days earlier. I thought that i'll be getting a Toyota Camry but instead I got a bigger car, a Mitsubishi Magna. Its a MUCH bigger car and woah is it a huge car!! Luckily it's an AUTO car... We finally left, with all Ita's luggages (can you believe that she had to borrow mine?!) at the boot of the car. First stop was Monash University, Berwick Campus.



Took me 20 min to drive that with abit of traffic though.. On a public holiday??! I was kinda surprised.. Its good finally showing my frens where i go to school... Compare it to Clayton campus.. im sure its gonna be a REAL shocker to u guys.. hahahaha.. Anyways, next stop was Philip Island.. I estimated that it was gonna be an hour n a half drive & boy was i right!!~ It got pretty bored along the way.. Basically i was hungry & it was a LONG STRAIGHT road.. The max i could go was 100km/h but that never stopped me.. I was determined to be a safe & careful driver.. hehe...

We reached the Penguin Parade are about 11am i guess.. Well we did get lost in Philip Island; what with me not listening to proper instructions.. *grins* We browsed thru the souvenior shops after purchasing out tickets.. $17 to watch some penguins parading around in the beach??!! It better be worth it man!!! Just in case u were wondring.. the Penguin Parade only starts at sunsets cause thats when the penguins swim back "home" and there they go parading from the ocean to the beach to their burrows..









The next few hours we grabbed ourselves some lunch.. FISH & CHIPS of course!! What a cliche!! Here we are in a tiny island, yes its soooo much smaller than Singapore.. eating FNC.. Mun's ideal location would be by the beach but i was too lazy to move from my seat... hahahha!! So anywho.. we strolled by to get some souveniors, walked in some shops & started walking towards the pier when the rain started to pour on us... HMPH!!! Fine.. being the good friend that i am.. *seeing how my dear Ita's leg is in no position to walk back up the hill* i volunteered to go get the car n fetch the rest..



We drove around the island, from one end to the other.. Getting lost.. AGAIN!!! Took some pics.. i keep saying how we shd go to a beach.. & my dear frens keep replying.. "NON! We are on an island!! WE are surrounded by beaches!!" n im like.. FINE!! Whatever!! hhahaha.. Its was an interesting drive cause along the way i drove thru swamp areas.. it was soooo coooll.. I felt so like being a LOTR scene.. ok so i didnt walk thru the swamps but STILL u gotta admit.. Its so eerie!! Esp since we were like the onli car there!! It was good driving experience for me.. I got to drive up a one-lane bridge which was kinda freaky and I saw a dead animal in the middle of the road... Now THAT is so wicked!! & gross of course!! After leaving Philip Island at about 7pm, i think, we headed off for a LONG drive to Melbourne Airport. Actually it took me onli 2 hours, courtesy of good navigation by Mun!! hehe...
