I met up with one of my sec sch frens today, Aisha Amrin. She had invited me to her school, Lasalle-SIA to see a performance showcasing the Gamelan. I was pleasantly surprised to see that she was one of the musicians playing the Gamelan instruments. The performance was good. The music was surprisingly calming too. I had came alone & sat right in front of the audience.. hehe.. I managed to capture some pics but none of Aisha's cause i wasnt sitting in a good spot to take her pic ah.. Sorry Aisha!! But you did sound great!! Esp with the gong! Haha.. After the performance ended, she introduced me to some of her frens & her boss. After she finished her PR-ing, we headed to Mac to eat lunch. Lives stories were exchanged as we catch-up & talked abt old times.. She is now learning Javanese dancing, in hope to become (technically) the only Javanese dancer in Singapore. She will be completing her degree by April. She has become more meatier due to her Akido lessons. She survived another relationship. Amazingly how much time had passed since I last saw her in December. The day ended on a good note. As me & Aisha parted ways, I told her that her life now is such an irony. Cause she isnt your typical Malay-ish kinda girl.. Yet her life is now full of Malay-ish themes & culture.. Seems like going back to your roots isnt so bad after all!!.. *winks*
